Why did the grouse cross the road

...ask the grouse. A reasonable question.

Here's the other side.

And here's the other side of that.

Cross another road to get there.

So THAT'S the other side. "Before every rehearsal is the unknown," Yannick Nezet-Seguin just said on CBC (about his updoming concert with the Berlin Phil).

Drove home from the Qu'Appelle Valley (near Lebret) with our friend, Cherie W., today. She drew our attention to the cloud formations ahead of us and predicted fog. Of course, she was right, and the clouds were amazing! The light, the dark, the movement. Yummy stuff!

Maybe the grouse is looking for what happened to Fall...
Could it be over there, on the other side of road??
Poor grouse.
Pretty scenery though.

Ha! Thanks! The snow is quickly disappearing and it looks like we're in for sun and mild temperatures for the next while. I guess fall is a come and go affair.

Fall as an open house...hmm. Well, as long as I get cake...

Yes, cake! There were delicious 40th anniversary cakes at the SWG fall conference, iced with fall colours and all. The vanilla cake had the most glorious filling!

I look forward to eating cake with you again some day...
