April is here!

...and it looks like this!

This is near Meridian Creek, Saskatchewan. Down the road from here we watched otters fishing in the heavy rush of the Sturgeon Weir River. Back in town, we saw a bald eagle heading over and heading straight to where the geese were hanging out yesterday. We saw all this because we saw a chipmunk scoot across the snow this morning, the first of the year. As the saying goes up here, when you see a chipmunk it means the bears are waking up, so we went looking. It's early yet, but you never know what's happening under all that snow.
