It's a dark day otherwise. All magpies and ravens. It smells like snow. Holding the book to the sky, I didn't see the two people and the dog come along until it was too late. They took a long look and turned around.

I love her work, too. I first encountered it in the colony library, if I recall correctly. Or was it the St. Peter's College library? Hm.
It is always good to have your neighbours think you are a little weird....then they stay away.
Ha! Good point! For the record, our neighbours are the best. I couldn't dream of better neighbours.
