It was at the same location, feeding on the slough edge which had been disced a couple days before (we know the person who did the work). On the morning of September 8, prior to first seeing this egret, we'd been told by another landowner about a small group of white birds that look like cranes, only smaller, near a slough several km from this location, so I'm guessing there are more egrets in the area.
