I was at the level of a weasel

...I say on page 101 of Flight Calls: An Apprentice on the Art of Listening. It's true again today.

This little guy stopped by this afternoon. For all I know it might live here. We've seen weasels in the yard many times before. It slipped in and out of the rock wall like it was home.

What a beautiful photograph. I once had a least weasel come to the sliding doors off my kitchen. It just peered in, made eye contact, then dematerialized, the way coyotes do...

Why does the word, weasel, have such a negative connotation when the animal is so darned cute? And ya, great pic!

Thanks! Good question! I imagine it has something to do with the way they engage with their lunch.
