Yes, very! I wonder how many people actually went that far. I remember seeing orange shag in a fully paneled living room, but never orange wallpaper. I remember recliners. And I remember the horror of making hanging macramé plant holders in home economics, as they called it. Scatterbrains like me are not too handy with knots.

I once went to someone's house and they had a "conversation pit" entirely coated in that 3-tone shag

I think the dad was a shrink
