Thanks, John! I was so excited to see it poking through! Soon rhubarb cake, rhubarb muffins, stewed rhubarb, rhubarb sauce!
Mmmmm...
Mmm, indeed! There's a particular rhubarb dessert that I've been craving all day. My Mom makes it. I could eat a whole 9X13 pan of it all by myself...
Sometimes, I'm very glad to know you. Also: glutton!
Sometimes! Ha! Ok, gluttony is a bit of a problem. But I can't help it. Mom's rhubarb dessert is SO good!
Rhubarb! Thanks, Brenda.
Very nice. I have strong memories of rhubarb from my childhood. One of the few things that grows without coaxing in that harsh prairie climate, no?
Thanks Evie and Chien B! You're right, rhubarb requires no coaxing here. Yay! We're in hardiness zone 1a, which is quite a challenge. But, like anywhere, you can take advantage of existing microclimates or create your own. It's amazing what you can grow here.
Had rhubarb pie today. Found one in the freezer. Mom
Rhubarb pie!!! Yum! I hope you find another in the freezer when we come down! :)
neat! love to see that coming up.
Thanks, Pearl! Me, too. Especially after such a long winter.
