...was wonderful! Thanks to everyone. It was fun.
H took another bunch of pics.
UPDATE:
May 2 -I added a pic today of Judith and me signing after the reading.
Here I am pointing out the amazing gift I'd just received.
A shot of the crowd.
Paula Jane Remlinger and me. I am wearing one of the gifts I received last night, a gorgeous spider and web pin from Annette. I also got a lovely scarf from Tracy that night.
Judith Krause and me signing books after our readings.
Two of the three Hagios Press publishers, Eric Greenway and Donald Ward, with Paula Jane and me.
And here's what I was pointing at. This is the top of the box.
And here's what's inside.
And here's a close-up of the diorama.
Cupcakes from Wolverine Creek! Brilliant. Sylvia Legris did all this. She made those cupcakes! They're beautiful! How can I eat something so beautiful?
UPDATE:
I broke down and ate the cupcakes. All of them. Well, I did allow H and a few relatives a taste. The cupcakes were filled with chocolate ganache. Heavenly, they were heavenly!

Hm, one might get the impression that your book launches were all about cupcakes. (Oh, I forgot who I was talking to - I'm beginning to suspect that's the reason you keep writing these AWESOME books of poetry ... so people will bake for you. *g*)
The reading was awesome. You were amazing, and funny, and humble. And you put up with the hugging.
Astonishing cupcakes. I don't think I've seen the likes of them. Congrats on the successful reading!
Ha! Thanks, Paula Jane! You know me too well. It was great having you there. You've been wonderful. :)
Thanks, Rolli! Astonishing, indeed! I still haven't eaten one, but I will. I'll eat them all, in fact. I'm told they're filled with chocolate ganache!
I really can't wait to read this book. I mean, I LOVE the X-men, especially Wolverine. Is it illustrated more in a John Byrne fashion or Jim Lee?
