...was bright with yesterday's snowfall. I was sitting by the window, finishing Elizabeth Bachinsky's
Home of Sudden Service when the grouse stopped by.
I love this time of year. While the squirrels have finished caching pine cones and mushrooms for the winter, I'm still stocking up on reading material. I just
ordered a few more books. The titles came out of a recent conversation. Now I might have enough books to get me through the longest cold spell.

Beautiful pics, B...
You're always grousing, so they were probably looking for a playmate... And I know exactly who you were talking to, just from the books you listed.
Thanks, A! Our yard is an all-inclusive resort for grouse and the like. After they pigged out on the mountain ash, they curled up in a sunny spot beneath the willow by the sun room window and had a nap.
Har har, G. I'm not always grousing.
I now have new desktop wallpaper !!
Looks like some good KFC to me. Mmm greasy.
What a wonderful sight to look out to!
Ha! Just don't photoshop my face on them, Anon.
Rhett! That's terrible.
It was wonderful, Amy. That tree gets a lot of visitors.
I should do that. I need practice with Photoshop and your pictures are interesting to work with !
