I should be working on a draft

...of a poem that I need to finish by 1 p.m. Saturday. Instead I did a quiz. I scored 5/10. Then I thought about the music, the notes that come after the end of the clips. I thought about inflatable palm trees, chocolate and expanding bellies. I thought about swings. I thought about the birthday poems I've written and how they're not exactly fit for a queen. That is, unless she likes limericks. Now I'm thinking about how I might fit into the Naked City.

I'll post again on Tuesday. I think.

Short of getting nekkid, I'm sure you'll find a way to get into Naked City. That last part, about art and music and poetry sounded like the most fun.

Say, haven't you had one of those mysterious things recently? A birthday, I mean?

I know it is sometime around this time. Cake! I say cake!

That's the part I'm eyeing, b-) It does sound like fun.

Ariel, is it me you're calling a lady? Heh.

I sure did, Tracy. A couple weeks back. However, I will gratefully accept all offerings of cake year round. In my world every day is my birthday!

FYI I just finished the poem. A post-prairie poem at that... :)

I was almost afraid to click on a link that included the words "inflatable", "expanding", and "bellies". Then I recognised it and knew it was worth the risk.

And, happy birthday! (whichever day it is, or all of them). Sorry, emailing cake doesn't work; faxing it does bad things to the texture; and posting it, well, it'd be stale by the time it got there — even if it lasted long enough to get sent (unlikely).

Thanks, Pete. I had your wishes in mind as I ate cake today. I'm in the fair city of Saskatoon at the moment and there seems to be cake everywhere.
