..."Haiku and Beyond: The Gendai Issue" arrived in the mail today. I'm so happy my work is included. Thank you to the editors Mary Di Michele and Susan Gillis. Both their independent work and their work as members of Yoko's Dogs is why I submitted work for consideration for this special issue.
As I stated elsewhere, I seem to be wandering off in new-to-me directions and wanted to test my footing or see a trusted sign or something. After I took this pic, I sat down with the work. The editors begin their introduction by saying "Haiku has never not renewed itself." The work collected here demonstrates that fact in exciting ways. I'll take this as a sign and keep going.
