Santa delivered three books of poetry

...today, all by Alice Oswald. Her work has sparked lively discussion in some CanLit circles recently, so naturally I became curious.

The covers go perfectly with the snow, so I placed the books on my mitts and took this pic. As you can see, it's a dark day. The wind is picking up and there's more snow on the way. 'Tis the season to be shoveling. And reading poems.

You're in for such pleasure. She has a rich generous voice(s, esp. in Dart, where all the sounds and echoes of the river and those who love it, use it, make a gorgeous music. (I also loved Weeds and Wild Flowers...)

Well you people are way ahead of me! But at least I'm reading Dart now and I must say I'm quite taken with it.

Thanks, Kathy!
