A rush of warblers

...in the forest along the West Arm Mine road today. I was surprised at all the song already. I stood by the car and took a few shots of whatever happened to come by. Like this Palm Warbler who decided the bugs were better over there.


And to add to my surprise, this perky Nashville Warbler, who had plenty to say.


I don't recall ever seeing one this early in the spring. The wind picked up shortly thereafter and became so strong that even the Ruby-crowned Kinglets quieted down.

On our way back to town a Turkey Vulture sailed over the road in front of us.

Great indeed! I'm itching to get back out there. Pretty darn windy today though!
