- riddlehoard, a new blog by Cassidy McFadzean. I've been preoccupied with a brilliant observation and question she posed at Talking Fresh. I imagine this thinking will find its way into my work.
- Gerald Hill's post honouring his teachers. Gerry was my mentor in the SWG mentorship program and thanks to him two of the teachers he mentions have directly influenced me as well. I worked with Fred Wah in a poetry colloquium at the Sage Hill Writing Experience and with Tom Wayman in a workshop at the first Talking Fresh.
- Zach Wells on the poetry and poetics of description. Both his talk and the discussion that follows are well worth the time.

Thanks for the shout out!!!!!!
My pleasure! And thank you!
glad you thought the discussion was worth the time, even though I rambled directionless on that first question I had. It was a great talk and Ross, Zach and I continued later over lunch (and perhaps Zach secretly recorded it, too!).
I'm gonna go check out riddlehoard now...
Yes, the talk was great and the discussion had plenty of meat in it. What a treat to be able to sit here and listen to it all with my morning coffee. Of course I ended up ordering two books because of it. Bonus!
Lovely findings!
And today books. It's all one big adventure!
Yes indeed, thanks for the shout out. Which books did you order?
It's certainly worth shouting about. I ordered Self Comes to Mind and Why Beauty Is Truth: A History of Symmetry.
