Well, how it looked 10 minutes ago. I was just out taking pics of a little culvert that was installed this fall. So there I was, squatting in the ditch, freezing my fingers. But the light was right. I couldn't resist.
I find it tough walking there, Mike, as the rock is steep and knobby with loose rock and bad cracks, but just beyond the far rocks is bog and forest which makes for lovely walking.
Thanks, Paula Jane. I shot in the direction of the sun and there's other problems with the pic, but it seemed to capture well enough what I was looking at. The culvert pics, on the other hand, did not work out. But the culvert is just at the corner of our lot, so not far to go to try again. I'm sure the neighbours won't think I'm too weird squatting there. :)
it's clear here on the green coast for a change... we're going walking to the village through the forest... hopefully we won't see any cougars (no wise cracks T)...
the owls have been making a racket in our woods lately
It's quite a warm day, only -5 at the moment, but windy. It was down to -20 last week. While it sometimes snows before, we generally get a good dump around Halloween that usually stays with us till spring and spring does not come early here. The lakes have frozen over. It's quite beautiful.
Sounds like lovely weather there. I'd love to hear the owls. Ours are pretty quiet this time of year.
Thanks, Anita! It was such a lovely day. And way way way WAY beyond those rocks, maybe 20 km, there are guys fishing on Maraiche Lake. One of those guys phoned last night and said he saw ptarmigan on his way there. We've had a few ptarmigan reports already and we saw tracks last week. They came down early.

That looks like a nice place to go for walks... and take photos.
Lovely picture, Brenda. Worth more than a thousand words.

I'm sure the neighbours have given up asking what you're doing, B...
Ha! You're probably right. Especially after my cement sculpture phase. And then there's my snowmen...
what's the temp? will the snow last?

I was just thinking of you! Did you see this arts story from BBC: "The uneasy link between war and medicine."

I love this photo! That light really is incredible.
