The other day I stopped

...at McNally Robinson to pick up Tim Lilburn's Orphic Politics. Of course I ended up buying a few additional titles: Notebook of Roses and Civilization by Nicole Brossard, A Wild Peculiar Joy by Irving Layton, The Given by Daphne Marlatt, The Dream World by Alison Pick and A Long Continual Argument: The Selected Poems of John Newlove. I read a couple pages from each on the way home today. Then I stared out the window. Near Prince Albert a turkey vulture flew over the car. I swear it looked through the windshield at us. It gave me the willies.
