Cantos from Wolverine Creek

...should be available now at McNally. (Update: And now at Amazon). I haven't seen it yet, but if all goes as planned I'll have my hands on a copy tomorrow when I hit Regina. I'm very excited. I'm also very worried about the weather. We had a winter storm warning yesterday and now a freezing rain warning. It takes us about nine hours to get to Regina when the conditions are ideal. It takes forever when they're not. However, the forecast is looking up. Fingers crossed. I hope to see some of you this week at the launches in Regina and Saskatoon. I plan to post pics and maybe some video for those of you who can't make it. And I'm told there will be cupcakes at the launch! It doesn't get better than that!

UPDATE:

Well it rained. Then it froze. Then it snowed. This is the view of the driveway from my office window at 6:25 p.m.

This is the tree near the window.

As you can see, it's still snowing. Ugh.

UPDATE:

April 23 - We made it! The roads were terrible for the first 200 km. The sight of vehicles in the ditch and too much coffee made for a seriously jittery me and I can talk seriously fast when seriously jittery. Anyway, the book was waiting for me at the desk when we got to the hotel last night. It's beautiful!!!

Count me in. I think you'll be ok for travel tomorrow. And if you need a cocktail at the end of the day, please let me know. Looking forward to seeing that book.

Excellent! Looking forward to seeing your book. If we make it to Regina in one piece we might just take you up on that drink. :)
