In addition Sheri Benning's marvelous Thin Moon Psalm, which I mentioned in a previous post and have since finished reading, the box from Brick Books contained five other titles. Two Hemispheres by Nadine McInnis, also just released. Jaguar Rain by Jan Conn. The Burning Alphabet by Barry Dempster. The Sutler by Michael Kenyon. And Ghost Country by Steve Noyes.

I'm happy to say the cat is doing much better. She's getting around, but still needs to be carried to the litter box.

H and I are still renovating the studio. We've uncovered a hardwood floor and hope to give it new life. It's in remarkably good condition considering all that was glued on top of it. So far so good anyhow. Touch wood.

You are a woman of adventure, Brenda, and made of fine mettle (with a thumbnail the colour of metal?). Happy renovating!

Ha! Thanks! My hands are a battered mess right now, but I'm pretty proud of them. Taking a little break right now, but we'll be back at it shortly. It's slow going. Lots of glue and backing to remove yet. My arms will look great after all this! The wood had been waxed, which was common back then, so the big challenge will be in the sanding and the finishing. H will be running the sander, and I'll be crossing my fingers. But that won't be till next week at the earliest.

The cat is doing better today! Yay!
