...from here!
Yes, I said goat path.
Update:
We just got back from the reading at The Brick House Bar & Grill. What a fantastic turnout! Keith Liggett proposed a circle reading where a poet would read one poem and the next poet would then choose a poem to follow and so on. It was fun reaching for seques. The four of us made a few rounds.
Here's Keith Liggett, the director of the Fernie Writers Conference.
Here's Andrea Goertzen.
Here's Courtney Baker.
And here's me.
I think I was explaining my shirt at the time. The mountain biker on the shirt should look familiar...
Here Keith and I are gabbing.
And here's all of us.
Yes, I am wearing a skirt with my terrible shirt. I decided to wear a skirt after Tracy's comment earlier.
It was a great time. The reading was followed by a jazz jam, which is likely still going on. What a fantastic way to end the evening.

No broken bones now !!! How many years since you've been on a bike? I seem to remember....
Aren't you supposed to be reading a book and drinking a cup of coffee as well? Or at least wearing a skirt?
Mind the bears.
What a wonderful time it seems you are having, and I LOVE that shirt!
Ha! Haven't broken anything yet! Last night someone said I should go tubing down the river. I'll have to look into that...
Har har, Tracy. Next time we're at colony I promise to follow through on that bet. I'm sure I can read a book and bike at the same time.
Will do, Rhett. I think we're going hiking this afternoon.
Thanks, Anita! H and I made the tshirt yesterday after biking. I couldn't resist. We had some tshirt transfers along for tshirt making emergencies. We keep them beside the first aid kit...
I've done a couple of readings that way in the past. I really like it, tho it seems to make some people uncomfortable. I find the audience really gets into it, too, in a more active way than is usual for more static reading formats.
Ya, the audience really did get into it. It was great.
