...has been a topic on some poet's blogs recently. Here's a post by Lisa Robertson and here's a response to the post.

On a related note, I received a card from a writer the other day. I read it and pinned it up with the other cards. Today I stared at it until I finally had to take it down to check the back. There I found the artist's website. I visited the site and its gallery of cards. The one I received is among them.

Hee - I do so love that my cards intrigue you. I'd be a very boring correspondent if they didn't. I'm particularly fond of the Penguin of Death, I must say. Also, a friend bought me a compact for my purse by the same artist - it has the Hedgehog of Haircare on it. *g*

Intriguing, indeed. I have it hanging with the super heroes, but I think it belongs over with the creepy black cat and the "golly, that was fun!" lady. I get the giggles when I think of the poor soul who will go through my papers. Imagine the look on an archivist's face upon finding the Penguin of Death.

Well, it will be worse, of course, if you're actually killed by a Penguin. Then it will look really suspicious and very bad for me ... Of course, since I also own a writer's guide to weapons and poisons, I'd pretty much be a suspect in any case. *evil laughter*

ha! With my luck that will be exactly how I die.

Note to self: Do not eat the jam.

And now the Batgirl envelope... very tricky.
