Cool! I keep getting lost in it, there's some sort of point to begin at, but then when I try to narrow my focus my eyes wander from movement to movement, but not linear, solemnly curved.
Ya, it's one of mine. It hangs in the entrance. :) I should dig up a proper photo of it, but this one will do for now.
Maybe I should explain what I'll be doing on the blog over the next week or so. I plan to post some images here and there without providing additional context. It's an experiment of sorts. I will go back and provide some details to the posts later on. I'll note in the comments when I've provided details. Or I might change my mind and this post will disappear... :)
Ariel got the jump on me: first she asks the question I was going to ask, then she uses the word I was going to use: luminous. And like Tracy, I really enjoy the way I can get lost in it. I feel as if I want to fly through it; explore it.
Ariel, Tracy, Ken, Anita, Pete: thank you! That's so encouraging. It's part of a series that I've been working on and living with for several years. Lately I've been thinking more and more about and around the work. When I get back from BC I'm going to explore the ideas and see where they go.
Beautiful work. I love the rich blue and the way the pattern seems to move inward upon itself. Reminds me of shells or the bones of the ear. (Not that I have an entirely clear picture of either of those, but ... it's where my brain went.)

I've been enjoying the intensity and depth of the colour, the way it moves across the canvas.
There's also a nice interplay between the organic, almost luminous shapes in the foreground and the starker shapes in the background...
