Corpse art

...is a big thing these days. This story in The Miami Herald wraps up with an exchange between a boy handling a cirrhotic liver and the docent guarding the display:

""Is this real?" the boy asked.

"Yes," the docent said.

"How did you get it out?"

"It was dissected after a person died."

"Died? Who died?" the boy asked..."

Didn't someone say dying is an art form? I had really wanted to check this out when I was in Toronto earlier this year but it didn't start until recently: http://www.ontariosciencecentre.ca/calendar/bodyworlds2/default.asp

That reminds me of some tv ditty: it's mainly because of the meat!

Food fight! (Another movie phrase I think).

Ew!

The subject certainly gets a lot of buzz...

Disgusting! (Although those flies have cool eyes).

On a somewhat related note, here's some bedtime reading. (From Living the Scientific Life)

Thanks for the bedtime tale, that's quite a "dark" story. The visuals were, quite frankly, charring?
